Regional Taster Days 

We run regular regional events across New Zealand and can tailor presentations and training as required for your organisation.

Taster-Day training is designed as an introduction to using storytelling to accelerate spoken language and communication. It is for those new to teaching the storytelling way who need an induction. The day is packed with practical activities that can be put to immediate use. The overall approach will be explained and teachers will be taught the first steps in the teaching sequence.

Half-day options are offered to enable school and literacy leaders to find out more about the merits of the approach and to begin planning for professional development and introduction to their school. Or, a half-day could be used to focus on one particular aspect of our Storytelling teaching sequence. For example, a school may want to develop staff expertise in using shared writing to model and instruct for better writing outcomes.
