Focus Workshop 2 of 3 - Shared Writing

This workshop is for those who have recently participated our taster training. Or, for those simply wishing to revisit and increase their expertise with the story making elements of a storytelling approach to learning and teaching.

At this workshop you will learn how to sustain an inclusive model for teaching writing as you move your storytelling children from storytelling and story making, into story writing. We show you how to engage learners through a process of joint-composition, in regular writing sessions that scaffold and guide them to more independent skills. In this workshop you learn a simple preparation for writing sessions that will ensure you are teaching children to write rather than simply telling them to write.
