About the event

The Knowledge Gap - Storytelling Curriculum & Non-Fiction Integration - For school leaders & educators already teaching the storytelling way, who have attended Storyways Literacy training events, or within their school, have completed our PLD package.

  • Learn how to apply the storytelling methodology to working with nonfiction communication for listening, speaking, reading and writing.
  • Practice with oral non-fiction, play within content, and immerse in creative expression.
  • Support learning within the new History curriculum, Science and Social Studies, identifying authentic localised learning links.
  • Weave across the curriculum to deliver a planned hierarchy of learning outcomes, deep learner engagement, and meaningful outcomes for all.
  • View examples of school-wide storytelling curriculum design.

This training will suit educators wanting to deepen their practice with storytelling pedagogy or school leaders considering leading the curriculum refresh or localised learning with a content-driven, holistic storytelling approach.
