About the event
If you have recently joined a storytelling school, have heard the buzz on teaching and learning the storytelling way, and want a first look into this PLD, or simply want a practice refresh, these workshops are for you.
Workshop 1: The Storytelling Way - Pedagogy & Practice Introduction: Understand the pedagogical principles and oracy foundation of teaching & learning the storytelling way.
Workshop 2: Building on Oracy Foundations - Story-Changing & Story-Making: Stepping forward with storytelling to enable learners to play in and manipulate story sequences and structures, and to invent stories from scratch, on the path to independent narrative and non-fiction composition.
Workshop 3: Crossing the oracy bridge - Shared-Reading & Shared-Writing: The good practice and protocols that underpin shared-reading and shared-writing, and why, daily unlevelled inclusion, improves reading and writing outcomes.
